Mrs. Tina Carolyn Bowers Boyd, age 47, of Statesville, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, July 25, 2020 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem.
Funeral services will be held 3:00 PM Tuesday, July 28, 2020 in Reins-Sturdivant Chapel with Pastor Scott Wagoner officiating. Burial will be in Mountain View Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 3:00 PM prior to the service at Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home.
Mrs. Boyd was born November 1, 1972 in Wilkes County to Ernest and Janet Brown Bowers. She was a member of Celebration Church. She was a Reiki spiritual healer with a masters certificate and an ordained minister.
She was preceded in death by her father, Ernest Bowers; her late husband, Kevin Whitley; her maternal grandparents, Arnold and Mary T. Brown; and her paternal grandparents, Alfred and Margie Bowers.
She is survived by her husband, Charles Boyd of the home; her mother; Janet Privette and fiancé, Steve Cockerham of Wilkesboro, in-laws; Doyle and Mary Kirkus, father-in-law; David Whitley; mother-in-law; Debbie Walsh, two daughters; Noel Mikeal and husband, Steven, and Eden Whitley both of Wilkesboro, one son; Isaac Whitley of Purlear, four grandchildren; Jacob Mikeal, Samuel Mikeal, Ivy Durham, and Theo Durham, and one sister; Tonya Bowers of North Wilkesboro, two nieces; Jade Sturgill and husband Matt, Summer Wyatt and husband Reggie, two great–nephews; Skylar Sturgill and Liam Wyatt one great-niece; Arabella Sturgill.
