Elizabeth Mary Lowe passed away on July 29, 2020 at her home in Lytle surrounded by her family at the age of 88 years. She was born December 31, 1931 in Smithton, PA to John Oberleitner and Scholastika Hechenblaickner Oberleitner. Upon graduating from high school, she joined the Air Force and was stationed at Travis Air Force Base in California. It was here where she met and married William Lowe on November 16, 1951. Survivors include her husband, William D. Lowe, Jr. of Lytle; son, William D. Lowe III; daughter, Rhonda Gentry and husband David; son, Mark Lowe and wife Eulalia; son, Matthew Lowe; eight grandchildren, Brittney Cox, Dora Gutierrez, D.J. Gentry, Samuel Lowe, Jr., Joseph Lowe, Sherri Lowe, Jonathen Lowe, Travis Lowe; sixteen great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Elizabeth was preceded in death by her parents, John and Scholastika Oberleitner;daughter, Sharon Ann Lowe and son, Samuel Lowe. Elizabeth loved to cook for her family during the holiday season and testing her luck at casinos near and far. She will be dearly missed, but her memory and warm smile will live in our hearts forever. Public Visitation will be Thursday, August 6, 2020 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Tondre-Guinn Funeral Home. The Rosary and Mass of the Resurrection will be held on Friday, August 7, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church in La Coste. Interment will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, August 7, 2020 at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio, TX. Please Note; Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery is limiting the number of people at the committal shelters to 25. Face coverings are required and social distancing shall be practiced. Memorials may be made in Elizabeth’s memory to Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church in La Coste.
