Vincent “Vinny” J. Marks passed away on Wednesday July 29, 2020 at Morristown Medical Center. He was 89.
He was born and raised in the Bronx. Vincent lived in Cliffside Park before moving to Parsippany in 1968.
Vincent served his country proudly during the Korean War with the United States Army from 10/31/1951 until being honorably discharged on 12/1/1959.
He was an accountant and title clerk for Skyline Auto Auction in Fairfield for 30 years before retiring in 2010.
Vincent was a Eucharistic minister for St. Clare’s Hospital from 1998-2009. He was an avid coin & stamp collector and huge New York Yankee fan. Vincent worked at the original Yankee Stadium Concessions.
He is predeceased by his late wife of 35 years: Corinne A. (nee-Hill) who passed away on 9/6/1997; his two late sisters and one late brother.
Survivors include his sons: Vincent G. and his wife Ann; Kevin M. and his wife Beth; and Christopher P.; his daughter: Dorothy M. Williams and her husband Sean; his sisters: Elizabeth Prussak and Helen Downes; and his six grandchildren: Taylor Marks, Kyle Marks, Haylee Marks, Alexandra Williams, and Sean Williams, and Ryan Williams.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Liturgy of Christian Burial 9:30am Tuesday August 4, 2020 at St. Christopher R.C. Church 1050 Littleton Road, Parsippany. Interment: Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover.
