Frederick John Wilson, 78, of Red Wing, died Thursday, July 30, 2020 at Mayo Clinic Health Systems, Red Wing. He was born November 6, 1941, to John and Doris (Eckhoff) Wilson. He was a life-long Red Wing resident and had worked as a janitor at St. John’s Hospital for 18 years and at the IRC for several years. He was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church. Fred enjoyed going for walks around Red Wing, fishing, family gatherings, old cars and going for drives.

He is survived by 2 siblings, Rodney (Mary Lou) Wilson of Red Wing and Bev (Mike) Steele of Cave Creek, AZ; 5 nieces and nephews, Greg (Julie) Wilson, Teresa Indrehus, Colleen (Jake) O’Reilly, Paige (Johnny) Yi and Jamie Steele and 11 great-nieces and nephews.

A graveside service for Fred will be held on Thursday at 11 a.m. at Oakwood Cemetery, where he will be laid to rest next to his parents. Arrangements handled by Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel.
