Inez A. Williams, age 84, of East Orange NJ, died on November 19, 2019 following a brief illness. Born August 22, 1935 in South Manchester, Jamaica, Inez was the daughter of the late Leslie Rowe and Jemima Wright. Inez spent most of her adult life in Kingston, Jamaica, where she met and married, the love of her life, the late Amos Williams. She resided in Kingston Jamaica, until she migrated to the United States.
Inez Williams was a nurse’s aide until she retired. She was a member of Gospel Light Church of God in Christ, Newark, NJ. While attending there, she served on the Usher Board.
She left behind one son and daughter-in law, Errol Barrett and Anne Barrett, five grandchildren Hugh Barrett, Christopher Barrett, Lenox Barrett, Monique Barrett and Nikita Barrett. Fourteen grandchildren, one great grandchild, fifteen brothers, four sisters, numerous nieces, nephews, church family, other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents and husband, she is precedent in death by three brothers, Austin Reid, Fitzroy Rowe, Clive Rowe and one sister, Linda Brown.
Funeral arrangements for the late Inez Williams are as follow. Viewing 9:00AM to 10:00AM service 10:00Am-12:00 Noon at The Gospel Light Church of Christ, located 684 Springfield Ave, Newark, NJ 07103. Her final resting place will be at The Rosedale Cemetery Montclair, N J. The officiating pastor will be Bishop Stuart Smith.
