Vincent “Money” M. Moore was born March 28,1972 in Montclair, NJ to
Andrew E. Moore and the late Florine Sanford Moore. He grew up in West
Caldwell, Orange, then East Orange. He attended Catholic schools in Newark,
NJ.
Vincent worked as a landscaper and carpenter. Later in life, he obtained his
certification in plumbing.
Loved most about Vincent was his sense of humor. For those that were close to
him, you know he was a jokester! Although Vincent could be a handful and
talk-a-good-game at times, he had a personality that made him special. He always
had a willingness to help others. He took after his mother in his love of cooking
and caring for others.
You would always find Vincent taking food from the pantry to give to someone
in need. He would cook meals to give to neighbors, family and friends. Like his
mother, Vincent loved to cook. When Mom could no longer command the
kitchen, Vincent took up the call and made sure that she and everyone else in the
house got their meals.
Though Vincent was a master cook and baker, his true love was grilling. It could
be 30 degrees below outside, yet he would be on the grill! He barbecued all year
long. We still laugh about the time the grill blew up on him.
Vincent was the biggest movie critic of all time. He would sometimes be in his
room, watching movie after movie. He would run downstairs from his room, stir
his pots, flip his meat and run back upstairs to his movie.
Vincent's love for his daughter, Amani, was truly special. He was so proud of her
and her accomplishments in school and sports. He would be on cloud nine when
he spoke about her. He would share all the pictures he received of her with
everyone. He was so thankful for her big sis, Quyontae, and the other Cady kids.
He was the son, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend who loved to stir up trouble one
minute, then be loving and kind the next.
To his partner, his wifey, Damarra Gibson, we thank you. May God heal you of
your sorrow.
Vincent leaves to cherish his memory his daughter, Amani Moore; wifey,
Damarra Gibson; brothers, Glenn Sanford, Andrew Sanford, Malcolm Williams,
and Jerome Williams; sisters Angela (Mark) Henderson and Judy (Robert)
Callahan, and a host of nieces, nephew, cousins and devoted friends. Vincent’s
mother, Florine Sanford Moore, preceded him in death.
Vincent will forever hold a special place in our hearts.
