His salvation secure in the grace of the redeemer in whom he so deeply believed, Gordon went home to be with his Lord. He slipped from this earthly body into eternal glory on Saturday, Sept. 6, 2014, from Bassett Medical Center, Cooperstown, with his loving wife, Joan beside him.
He is also survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Louise and George Hathaway, Sharon Springs and Karen and John Primevara, Durham, Maine; son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Annette Chamberlain, Owego; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; sister, Ruth Eddy, St. Petersburg, Fla., and two nieces and nephews.
Gordon was born in Worcester, Mass., on Sept. 6, 1934, the son of the late Arthur E. and Rosa Almeda (Wilson) Chamberlain.
He was also predeceased by his son, Malcolm; and brothers, Earl, Arthur and Albert.
Gordon had a dairy farm and an insurance business in Sutton, Mass., before retirement.
Interment will be in Slate Hill Cemetery, Sharon Springs.
