Tyler was born February 7, 1995 in Albany, NY, a son of Jon and Kari Jo (Martin) Woods.
He attended Sharon Springs High School and was in the 9th grade.
He was active in his school and achieved membership in the National Honor Society.
He was also an honorary member of the Port Crane Fire Department, in Port Crane, NY.
His hobbies and interests included soccer, basketball, and he was a huge fan of NASCAR.
His Make-A-Wish trip this last April allowed him to meet and interview his favorite driver, Dale Earnhart, Jr. in Phoenix.
Survivors include his mother, Kari Jo Roberts and her husband, George of Sharon Springs; his father, Jon Woods and his wife, Rebecca of Warrensburg; two brothers, Donovan Roberts of Sharon Springs and Brendan Woods of Warrensburg; two sisters, Darienne Roberts of Sharon Springs and Ashley Coons of Green Island; paternal grandparents, Edward and Dorothy Woods of Minneapolis, MN, and Thomas and Deborah Fletcher of Port Crane, NY; maternal grandparents, Terry and Loretta Martin of Brattleboro, VT, and Carl and Helen Roberts of Sharon Springs, NY; along with many cousins, aunts and uncles.
Burial at Slate Hill Cemetery, Town of Sharon.
