Mr. Ellison loved music and was a member of The William Brothers group. He enjoyed playing his guitar and reading his bible.
John was preceded in death by his wife, Eddie Ellison and parents, Ed and Annie Lee Ellison. He is survived by his children, John T. Ellison, Jr. (Amy), Jerome Ellison, Derrick Harkless (Janet) and Joey Ellison (Jessica); six grandchildren, Janelle Ellison, Jasmine Ellison, Deja Ellison, Isaiah Ellison, Harmony Fannin and Danielle Fannin; four great-grandchildren, Elaina, River, Cameron and Caden; two sisters; one brother; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and other special family and friends.
Due to COVID-19 facial coverings are required, no food is permitted and there is limited seating due to social distancing requirements.
