Willard "Ray" Jones
May 18, 1930 - July 29, 2020

Willard Ray Jones, age 90, went to be with the Lord on July 29, 2020. He passed away at Ben Atchley Veterans Home in Knoxville.

Ray was preceded in death by his father, Ernest Jones, mother, Delia Jones, adoptive parents, Sally and Claude Smith, and sister, Loraine Harris.

He is survived by his sister, Caroline Jones, former wife, Trula Jones, several nieces and nephews, and special extended family, Keith and Diane Radar, Kathy Franklin, Eddie Merriman, and Pat Greene.

Ray was a Master Sergeant in the US Army for 23 years and worked at the Oak Ridge Nuclear Plant for 28 years.

He was a faithful member of Carpenters Chapel Ministry.

Special thanks to all the caregivers at Ben Atchley Veterans Home for the wonderful care shown to Ray.

Graveside service for immediate family only will be 9:30am Monday at East Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery with full military honors conferred by the East Tennessee Veterans Honor Guard and the US Army.
