Jane married her husband of 67 years, Eugene "Gene" Ryan in July 1950 after only dating for five months. When you know, you know. They had two children: Mike and Melissa, who brought them much joy and some headaches and shenanigans. Jane loved working and started work as a teenager until her retirement. In 1970, the family relocated to Colorado where they made even more friends than they already had back in Indiana. A very popular couple, Gene and Jane were known for their humor, sense of style, and open arms. Jane was loved by everyone she met. She loved socializing, a great joke, and a good glass of White Zin with ice, of course. Jane would dote on her children and grandchildren, and was a very good friend to many people.
She spent her retirement volunteering for the Broomfield Veterans Museum, as well as the Broomfield senior center, where she assisted in putting on the annual garage sales which was one of their most successful fundraisers. She was a long-time member of the Trinity Presbyterian Church where she would volunteer often. A proud Red Hat Society member, Jane loved meeting up with the ladies for lunch in their purple dresses and red hats. Jane was a loving and giving soul, always finding a way to care for others. She lived the bible verse; Ephesians 4:32 "And be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving one another, just as God also forgave you in Christ." We will miss her dearly.
