Frederick "Fred" Allen Thomas, age 87 passed peacefully at his home on July 2nd, 2020. He was born in Scottsville, CA to Earlene (Garbarini) and George Thomas.

Fred enjoyed hunting and fishing and working with his cows at his home on Middle Bar Rd. He was an avid 49ers fan, and got to attend the very last game played at Candlestick Park.

Fred had a passion for preserving Jackson history and has contributed many historical pictures to local eateries, business and more. He loved to play cards and dealt cards all over then went on to own The Pass Time in Sonora.

Fred enjoyed his apartment overlooking downtown Jackson, where he resided for 20 years. He loved watching parades and waving at friends from his balcony. Fred served in the Army and was a munition expert during the Korean War.

He married Ida Mae "Babe" Sanders, they had three children, his oldest

son, Frederick Allen Thomas ll passed in 2014. Fred is survived by his sister, Florance Agerton of Scottsville, his son, James Thomas of Cohasset, and his daughter, Robin Kehr of Sutter Creek.

Also surviving are his 14 grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Services will be held on Saturday, July 18, 2020, 10am at Generation Life Church,125 Academy Drive, Sutter Creek, CA.
