Orville Eugene Boggs, 81, went home to the arms of Jesus on June 9, 2020. Orville died at home in Woodville, WV surrounded by his loving family. He was born on October 12, 1938 at Cazy, WV to Charles Wesley and Olive Boggs.
Orville graduated Scott High School and immediately joined the United States Army, stationed in Korea. He was a lifetime member of the VFW and a member of Family Worship Center. Orville was proud of his coal mining heritage and enjoyed his time as a Federal Mine Inspector. Orville loved hunting, camping, going to the flea market and sharing his big booming laugh, coal mining stories and stories of Korea. Orville was always happiest when surrounded by his precious grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his beloved granddaughter of the heart, Niki Adkins, beloved nephew, Pete Adkins, his father and mother, seven brothers, and three sisters. Bereaved survivors include his loving wife of 60 years, Nora Adkins Boggs of Woodville, WV; daughter of the heart, Bonnie Pauley of Woodville, WV; grandchildren of the heart, Kari, Sherri, Riley, Kelci, Justin, Jacob, Hailey, Avery, Aiden and CJ. Along with a host of nieces and nephews, and special friends include, Delores & Randy Johnson, and Lawrence & Lenda Johnson. We would like to thank Hospicecare of WV for their excellent Care. Especially Melanie, Libby, Pete and Thea. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made to HospiceCare of Charleston. Freeman Funeral Home, Chapmanville, WV is in charge of the arrangements.
