Mrs. Virginia (Jenny) Carter Berryman, 92, of Marietta, GA passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 28, 2020.

Mrs. Berryman was born April 5,1928 in Madison County, GA and is preceded in death by her parents Thomas Grady Carter and Elizabeth Carter Latty and after the death of her father, a loving step-father Eric Latty. She is preceded in death by her husband, Ansley H. Berryman, the love of her life.

Survivors include her son, Clark Berryman (Tisha); daughter, Becky Irwin; son, Andy Berryman. Grandchildren, Keith Berryman (Erin); Kelli Rivera (Chanel); Katie Kell (Jesse); Kevin Irwin (Ashley); Jennifer Irwin; Conner Berryman; Preston Berryman and her twelve great grandchildren. Also, her surviving brothers, sisters and a host of nieces, nephews and their families that she loved so dearly. She also had numerous friends and great neighbors some have preceded before her and she was so thankful for each of them.

She was a resident of East Cobb County Georgia for fifty-five years and a member of Sandy Plains Baptist Church where she enjoyed many years with her Sunday School Class and volunteering. Her faith in Jesus Christ was the bedrock of her life and she now joins her husband in Heaven.

Priding herself as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother first, she retired from the Cobb County School System after many wonderful years.

She was an avid sports fan, being athletic in high school, she lettered in basketball (her favorite sport) she at 91.5 years could carry on a great conversation on all sports discussing her favorite professional teams the Atlanta Hawks, Atlanta Falcons and the Atlanta Braves, she was trying real hard to enjoy Atlanta United FC as they were a new sports team for Atlanta and she stated one day I haven't watched too much soccer in my life but I watch and pull for them anyway! She would get very detailed in her descriptions of play-by-play conversation and for sure predicting who would always win championships with her college sports and her favorite teams being the UGA Dawgs, Auburn University Tigers and the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets (as she took great joy as she cheered on the different teams she personally loved and her grandchildren's team). She truly enjoyed family get togethers as she lived her life through all her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren so proudly.

We know Mother and Daddy are celebrating in Heaven at this very moment and mother you did a wonderful job after Daddy passed with your three children. We all love you both so very much.

Due to Covid-19 restrictions a Private Graveside Service and Interment will follow at Georgia Memorial Park Funeral Home & Cemetery on Saturday, August 1, 2020.
