Faye Poole, 78, of Crossett, died Saturday, October 8, 2016, at her residence. She was born on August 26, 1938, to her parents, George Mason and Zepha Mae Roan in Monroe, LA. She was one of ten children and grew up on her parents' cotton farm in Rocky Branch, LA. Her employers over the years included Olin-Kraft of Monroe, the shirt factory of Hamburg, and Avon, where she worked and excelled as a sales representative for 30 years. She collected Avon porcelain dolls, loved garage sales, and took on the role of the "Beech Street Mom" by always watching over the children and keeping them out of the street, which sometimes required the switches she kept on hand. Her children and grandchildren were her priority and she was always taking them to church. She kept busy not only by volunteering as their girl scout leader, boy scout leader, and cheerleader, but also she was their critic. You could always depend on Faye to be straightforward, honest, and loving and she will be dearly missed by her family, neighbors, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Jim Roan; one sister, Betty Mae Martin; and one niece, Pamela Martin.

She is survived by her husband, James Wade Poole Sr. of Crossett; one son, Jamie Poole of Crossett; two daughters, Cindy Craig and husband Douglas of Sheridan and Sandra Kay Henry of Crossett; four brothers, George D. Roan, John Roan, Raymond Roan and his wife Lori, all of Rocky Branch, LA and Billie Joe Roan of Monroe, LA; three sisters, Pat Martin and husband David of Farmerville, LA, Diane Roan and husband Greg of Monroe, LA, and Katie Woodall of Baton Rouge, LA; eight grandchildren, Brandon Poole of Conway, Amy Craig of Arkadelphia, Cassandra Craig of Sheridan, Jeremy Poole of Maryville, OH, Nicole Culbreath, Tommie Lynn Roberts, Brittney Poole, and Ashley Poole, all of Crossett; and nine great-grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, October 10th, at Meridian Baptist Church, 4593 Ashley Rd 703 in South Crossett with Bro. Robert Ballard officiating, followed by an interment at Hickory Grover Cemetery under the direction of Medders Funeral Home of Crossett. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until time of the service at the church.
