Born January 29, 1958 in Randolph County, he was the son of Jane Workman Hunt and the late Grady Hunt.
Michael received his formal education at Southwestern Randolph High School and was a self-employed motorcycle mechanic. He enjoyed going to the lake or riding side by sides in West Virginia. He enjoyed walking in the woods and spending time with all the kids in the family. He accepted Christ as his Savior.
Michael is survived by his sons, Shane Hunt (Amanda), and Dustin Hunt; mother, Jane Hunt; sisters, Carolyn (Gary) Hunt and Pat Law, as well as a host of nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles. Michael was preceded in death by his father.
The family will hold a private burial at Randolph Memorial Park. Services entrusted to Midstate Cremation & Funeral Service.
