Sonny was born in Nashville in 1937, he was 83 years old. He was a six-year member of the Army National Guard. He retired from the printing industry. He was an avid Tennessee Volunteers fan from even carpeting his den in orange and white checkerboard. His favorite Holiday was Christmas, as he watched his family grow. Spending time with his family is what made him happy.
He is a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and great-great-grandfather.
Survived by wife of 64 years, Margie; children, Jamie (Bill) Lovell, Tony (Robin) Connelly, Kim, Shane; 8 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild.
Grandchildren will serve as pallbearers and great-grandchildren will serve as honorary pallbearers.
Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, August 2, 2020, at 2:00 p.m. at Woodbine Funeral Home, Hickory Chapel, 5852 Nolensville Road. Interment Woodlawn Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday, August 1, 2020, from 12-6 p.m
