Gerald Rhodes Perry, 79 of McCaskey Road, died Tuesday, July 28, 2020 at LifeCare Hospital in Rocky Mount.
Mr. Perry was born on August 30, 1940 in Martin County to the late Nathan Thomas and Annie Bell Corey Perry. He was a retired salesman with Heilig Meyers Co. and was preacher at Gum Neck Free Will Baptist Church. Gerald was member of the First Free Will Baptist Church in Williamston. He loved sports and fishing. He was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Perry and sisters, Estelle Rios, Velma Hardison, Marie Hardison, Gladys Wilson, and Annie Lee Gurganus.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 31, 2020 at 11:00 AM at Walker Chapel with Rev. Stan Matthews officiating. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.
Survivors include; wife, Madeline Davis Perry of the home; sons, Keith Perry (Melanie) of Winterville and Brian Perry (Renee) of Williamston; brother, NS Perry of Williamston; sisters, Eula Gardner and Viola Hollis of Williamston, Faye Barber of Jamesville and Gaynell Howell of Montgomery, AL; grandchildren, Matthew Perry, Ashley Perry, Shelby Perry, Haylee Perry and Amber Williams; great grandchildren, Landon Perry, Chloe Perry, Sammy Perry, Kenzie Perry, Lucy Williams and Callie Williams.
The family will receive friends Thursday evening at Walker Funeral Home from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM and other times from the home.
