Gladys was born on May 8, 1939, in Tattnall County, Georgia, to the late Harry and Gladys Novadine Jones Owen. She loved her hometown of Glennville. Gladys was employed with Georgia Pacific in Palatka, Florida, for 35 years. She loved angels, butterflies, animals, to color and to watch Gunsmoke. Gladys was a strong willed, independent, loving and caring woman.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bennie Barker; and brothers: Redge, Larry, and Randy Owens.
Survivors include her daughter, Theresa Gill, of Jesup, Georgia; sons, Clyde Clower, Jr, of Alabama, and Keith Andrew Clower and his wife, Pam, of Jesup, Georgia; 12 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; other relatives and many friends. A
