Funeral services for Robert “Bud” Glenn Lowery, 81, will be held on Friday, July 31, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. at Bethel Assembly of God, 5801 W. Bert Kouns Industrial Loop, Shreveport, Louisiana. Burial will follow at Forest Park West in Shreveport. A visitation will be held Thursday, July 27, 2020 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Officiating the service will be Pastor Ray Holman.

Bud was born on April 5, 1939 to Robert Lee Lowery and Ethy Jones Lowery in Haynesville, Louisiana and passed away Monday, July 27, 2020 in Shreveport, Louisiana.

Bud was very involved in his church, The Bethel Assembly of God in Shreveport. He was a Sunday school teacher and a deacon, and was a faithful follower of Christ. He was known for his infectious laugh and was loved by everyone. Bud worked as a machinist for Modern Electronics which inspired him to start a pecan cracking business called “Bud’s Pecans”.

Bud is preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Laverne Lowery; daughter, Denise; grandson, William; granddaughter, Jade; sister, Virgie Rascoe and his four brothers. He is survived by his wife, Patsy; daughters, Dianne Lipscomb and husband James; Danita Peterson and husband James; Darlene Payne and husband Brian; son, Scott Lowery and wife Misi; bonus children, Patricia Younker and husband Coleman; Ricky Stewart and wife Jodi; David Stewart and wife Judy; sister, Alma Lee Ballard; 21 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

Honoring Bud as pallbearers will be Trae Abercrombie, Don Fiebel, Glen Hawthorne, Michael Hunt, Brien Allen Payne and James Robert Peterson. Serving as honorary pallbearer will be Burl Bristow.

The family would like to thank the staff at Willis-Knighton Pierremont for the excellent care given to Bud during his last days.
