Hattie Marie Townsend Williams of Hwy 460 W., Frenchburg, KY passed away on Sunday, July 26, 2020 at her home after a brief illness at the age of 82 years,10 months and 6 days. Born in Means, KY on September 20, 1937 to Daniel Boone Townsend and Allie Mae Skidmore Townsend. She was a member of the Farm Service Agency for 18 years, also on the Menifee Co. Soil Conservation Committee. Raised strawberries and made sorghum.

Surviving is her husband Edgar Williams, two daughters Rhonda & Tony Stafford and Angela & Jeff Knox. Three grandchildren Zane Christian Stafford, Anna Marie Knox and Madeline Carol Knox. Two sisters, Juanita Townsend and Lillie Ella Townsend Stephens. Two brothers John Thomas Townsend and Danny Ray Townsend. Brother-in-law, Jack Whidden. Sister-in-law, Ruth Williams Cope (Owen). A host of nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents, Daniel Boone Townsend and Allie Mae Skidmore Townsend. One sister, Scharline Townsend Whidden.

COVID-19 regulations will be followed as set forth by Governor Beshear and the CDC. The family request that visitors respect their desire to keep everyone safe by practicing social distancing guidelines and wear face covering of some sort.

Funeral services will be 1:00pm, Thursday, July 30,2020 at Menifee Home For Funerals with Bro. Darrell Back officiating. Interment in Machpelah Cemetery, Mt. Sterling, KY. Visitation will be 11:am Thursday, July 30,2020 at Menifee Home For Funerals, Frenchburg, KY, with Randy Halsey, Funeral Director. Pallbearers: James Phelps, Bill Phelps, John Cope, Sam Williams, Zane Stafford, Wesley Robinson.
