Bill attended Elmore City schools, graduating in 1954. After returning from military service, he owned and operated his own service station. After selling his service station, he went to work in the oilfield and retired in 2003. In his spare time, he enjoyed working in his yard, shopping at Walmart, going to the casino, and cooking out on the grill.
