He was the loving husband of Esther (Kelly) Bishop for 67 years. Wayne was born in Doylestown, PA to the late Wilmer L. Bishop and the late Ella Mae (Constantine) Bishop.
He graduated from Lansdale High School, class of 1950. Wayne was employed as a sales engineer for Link Belt (now known as FMC) in Colmar, PA for more than 30 years.
He was a member of Presbyterian Church of Deep Run where he assisted with the expansion of the church properties, drafted the plans for the fellowship hall, and volunteered his time.
Wayne loved spending time with his family. He also loved woodworking and restoring old hit-n-miss engines/tractors and attending antique farm equipment shows. Wayne was an avid reader of geographical and history books. He enjoyed camping with family and friends and watching local sports on TV.
Wayne was a hardworking and independent man who had a good sense of humor and was always willing to help others.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his two sons, Wayne C. Bishop, Jr. & wife, Linda of Hilltown, PA, Jeffrey L. Bishop of Sellersville, PA; his five grandchildren – Michael, Wesley, Christopher, Trisha, & Bailey; his five great-grandchildren – Madison, Landan, Gwendolyn, Hunter, & Orion; his half-sister, Martha Siwert & husband, David of Elizabethtown, PA; his two step-brothers, Robert Walters & wife, Emily of Bethlehem, PA, William Walters of Wayne County, PA; and his step-sister, Virginia Lebo & husband, Robert of Willow Valley, PA.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his step-Mother, Ella Mae Walters-Bishop; his sister, Glenna Higgins; and his brother, Lawrence Bishop.
A graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family. Inurnment will take place at Presbyterian Church of Deep Run Cemetery.
