CENTRAL CITY – Melvin Ray Young, 83, of Central City, died Sunday, July 26, 2020, at 1:07PM at Owensboro Health Muhlenberg Community Hospital. Mr. Young was born October 13, 1936, in Muhlenberg County. He was a mechanic with Henry Cisney Chevrolet and a member of Mt. Zion Presbyterian Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Louann Young; step-daughter Sue Wolfe Pendley; his father, Melvin Young; mother Nellie Yonts Young; brothers John Young and Pete Young; sister Loretta Young Hartis; eldest son Lannie Young; and youngest son Scott Young.

He is survived by his step-son Robin (Vicky) Wolfe; grandchildren Kris (Kelsey) Wolfe and Matthew Wolfe; great-grandchildren Kohen Wolfe and Karson Wolfe; son-in-law Tommy Pendley; brother Tip Eugene Young; and sister Peggy Piper.

Graveside funeral services will be Tuesday, July 28, 2020, at 10:00AM at Forest Grove Cemetery in Browder, with Rev. Scott Casebier officiating. Burial to follow. Tucker Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
