Joni Gonzalez, age 67 of Norman, passed away Sunday, July 26, 2020. Joni Laraine Frazier was born June 28, 1953 in Talihina, OK, the 3rd of 9 children born to Edgel and Lavada Frazier. She spent her early years in the Savanah and Dow area where she started school. The Frazier family later moved to Kiowa, and Joni graduated with the Indians Class of 1971. Joni worked a variety of jobs throughout the years. She was most proud of her work as a WIC/Paraprofessional for both the Choctaw Nation and the Chickasaw Nation. Joni’s greatest joy was her family. She was a proud mother and grandmother, and she raised all of her kids to be strong. Joni was very proud of her Native Ancestry and she passed down her love and passion to her kids. She was social, and had many friends; she was a teacher of many things, enjoyed fishing and was a woman of great faith. Joni was a longtime and faithful member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Coalgate. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother, sister, aunt and a true friend. She will be dearly missed!

Her parents, Edgel and Lavada Frazier and
Two sisters, Carolyn Ned and Delores Lewis.

Joni is survived by:
Her daughter, Alice Soto of Norman;
Her sons, Bradley Frazier of Wayne, Frankie Gonzalez of Wayne, James Gonzalez of Purcell and
David Gonzalez of Wayne;
Three sisters, Pamela Cole of Coalgate, Rebecca Pickens of Coalgate and
Cindy Kuykendall of Cartwright, OK;
Three brothers, James Frazier of Coalgate, William Frazier of Tushka, OK and
Steven Frazier of Wardville, OK;
Seven grandchildren, Kaylea, Raynee, Brayden, Izak, Melia, Kaidon and Kaili;
One great grandchild, Aubree and a host of other family and friends.

Funeral Services are scheduled 10:00 A.M. Friday, July 31, 2020, at the Wilson-Little Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at 2:30 P.M. at the Good Springs Cemetery near Boswell.
