Services for Jesse Odell Wilson, Age 90, of Point, Texas will be held Wednesday, July 29, at First Baptist Church of Point 2:00 PM with a public visitation from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, on Tuesday, July 28 at the First Baptist Church of Point with Pastor Jimmy Jarrett officiating. Interment will follow at Emory City Cemetery. Mr. Wilson passed away on Sunday, July 26 in Point, Texas.
Jesse Odell Wilson was born November 14th, 1929 to Jewel Lee Akin and Terry Linsey Wilson in Van Zandt County. He was married to Wanda Delane Wilson on October 19, 1997. Mr. Wilson worked as a dry waller and farmer. His hobbies included fishing, cattle and grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Wanda, children Danny Wilson, Wynell Wilson, Rickey and Karen Willingham, Billy and Beverly Gaston, David and Diana Gaston, Jay and Shelly Gaston, and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
Mr. Wilson is also survived by siblings Cozell Wilson and wife Helen and Carroll Wilson and wife Reba.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his son Terry Wilson, his granddaughter Amanda Wilson, and his grandson William Gaston III.
**NOTE: ODELL IS BURIED IN THE EMORY CITY CEMETERY JUST BELOW WHERE HIS THIRD WIFE WILL BE LAID TO REST, ALTHOUGH HE HAS A MARKER WITH HIS SECOND WIFE, OTHELDA AT THIS SAME CEMETERY.
