PATRICK PRICE
July 24, 2020

Patrick William Price beloved husband and father, Patrick “Pat” William Price passed away on Friday, July 24. Pat was born in Bremerton, Washington, the son of Albert and Mary Price.

Pat always dreamed of being a cowboy and pursued his dreams from a young age. He began competing in the National Little Britches Rodeo Association and later in the Northwest Rodeo Association where he was the bareback riding champion multiple years.

Pat made his way south through rodeo and met Rebecca Lynn “Beccie” Donaldson. Pat and Beccie married on July 18, 1985 and made their home in Southeastern Oklahoma.

Pat continued to rodeo throughout the southern United States competing in the International Professional Rodeo Association (IPRA), Central Regional Rodeo Association (CRRA) and the Central Rodeo Association (CRA). He qualified for more than 20 annual finals and won the 1982 IPRA Finals Average and the 1984 and 1987 CRRA Finals Average. Other accomplishments include winning the 1979 Bullarama and the 1980 and 1981 Calgary Stampede.

Hanging up his chaps, Pat began a career with Brown and Root at the Valliant Paper Mill. He also began ranching in Choctaw County and began raising bucking bulls with his children. After retirement, Pat ranched full time.

Pat is survived by his wife Beccie of the home and three children – Keta (Val) Garcia of Coppell, TX, Jess (Kelsey) Price of Trinidad, CO, and Tricia (Gregory) Diaville of Forney, TX.

He is also survived by his four favorite people in the entire world – his grandchildren – Emma, Olivia and Alex Garcia; and Tripp Diaville.

Pat was especially fond of his numerous nieces and nephews throughout Washington and Oklahoma. Other survivors include his brother Michael (Dottie) Price of Federal Way, Washington.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to either the Valliant Church of Christ (1001 N. Dalton Valliant, OK 74764) or the Wright City Public School Foundation (P.O. Box 329 Wright City, OK 74766).
