He was raised in Flatwoods and attended school in Logansport. He married Vera Jeanette Reeves in 1965 and they celebrated 45 years of marriage before she preceded him in death in 2010.
Mr. Carter worked as a welder for many years for McDermont and Bierden Industrial before his retirement. He was a member of the Galloway U.M.C., enjoyed the outdoors hunting, fishing, and making perch traps. He is also preceded in death by his parents, brothers, James Ernest “Jay” and Charlie Wayne Carter.
