David Wesley Haynie, age 57, of Chillicothe passed away unexpectedly on Thursday July 23, 2020. He was born on June 7, 1963 in Bainbridge, Ohio the son of Robert Wesley and Florence J. (Wisecup) Haynie. Wesley was baptized in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Chillicothe. He worked as a mechanic and he was a truck driver for many years. He enjoyed fishing, music, working on cars and spending time with his family and friends. Wesley is survived by his mother, Florence Haynie of Greenfield; three children, David Johnson of Grove City, Ohio, Brandon Johnson of Grove City, Ohio, and Christine Johnson of Columbus, Ohio; 21 grandchildren; seven siblings, Donna (Rick) Staub of Hillsboro, Gary Haynie of Chillicothe, Rosemary Haynie of Greenfield, Carol Haynie of Hillsboro, Linda (Jerry) Daugherty of Bainbridge, Michael Haynie of Greenfield, Robert Haynie of Hillsboro, and many nieces, nephews, and friends. Wesley was preceded in death by his father, Robert Wesley Haynie on July 26, 2004. Private graveside services will be held in the Bainbridge Cemetery at a later date. The Turner & Son Funeral Home is serving the family.
