Elizabeth Rebecca Coverdale was born on 28 Feb 1877 in Madison County Indiana. She was the daughter of Isaiah Cass Coverdale and Jane A. Schuyler. Elizabeth married Chauncey William Partain in Madison County Indiana on 28 Dec 1899. Together Elizabeth and Chauncey had seven children: Chauncey Everett, Muriel, Roger, Willis, Carrel, Ruth, and Eva.

PNEUMONIA FATAL TO LAPEL WOMAN

Lapel, May 1 - Mrs. Rebecca Partain, age 58, wife of Chauncey Partain, died at 11 a.m. today at her home following a four-day illness of pneumonia. Mrs. Partain had been ill for more than two years with Bright's disease and contracted pneumonia last Sunday. Surviving are the husband, four sons, Carol, Willis, Roger and Everett, and three daughters, Mrs. Ralph Fisher and Missess Eva and Ruth Partain, all of Lapel. Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at the First M.E. Church with Rev. E. D. Imler, paster, in charge. Burial will be in Brookside.
