It is with broken hearts, the family of Herbert Edward William Quigg announce his passing on December 20, 2018 at Hospice House, Fredericton. Herb was born in Woodstock, NB on December 11, 1933 to the late Bill and Margaret (MacDonald) Quigg.

He was a Printer/Owner of Capital Free Press and for a number of years was a Courier with Purolator. Herb owned and raced horses and stabbled them at the Fredericton Raceway. He was a member of St. Paul’s United Church in Fredericton and was a member of United Commercial Travellers.

Herb is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Diane Quigg; son, Greg Quigg; daughter, Misty Nowlan; grandsons, Matthew Nowlan, Brandon Nowlan and Gregory Quigg; also his son, William Quigg and daughter, Sharon Monahan; grandchildren, Jared Crain, Katie Keetch, Joseph and Michael Quigg and a number of great–grandchildren.

Aside from his parents, Herb was predeceased by his sister, Barbara Landry.

No visitation by request. A memorial service will be held from Bishop’s Funeral Home, 540 Woodstock Road, Fredericton on Thursday, December 27, 2018 at 1:00 PM with Rev. Michelle Armstrong officiating. A reception will be held at the funeral home immediately following the service.

The family wish to thank Dr. Jacques Béland, Dr. Cruz and Dr. Tom Barry. Warmest thanks to Dr. Sainz, nurses and staff at Hospice House for the excellent care Herb received.
