Walter Lee Fisher, 69, of Milroy, passed away Friday, July 24, 2020, at William Penn Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center.
Born July 3, 1951, at Fort Knox, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Walter P. and Dorothy (Romig) Fisher.
He is survived by: his wife, Roxanne V. (McTavish) Fisher; children, Crystal G. Fisher and companion, Tim Brower, of Lewistown, Cory A. Fisher, of Reedsville, and Candace J. Renninger and husband, Shane, of Decatur; five grandchildren, Jade Brower, Timothy J. Brower, Angel M. Fisher, Megan L. Renninger and Faith N. Renninger; three sisters, Nancy Borys and husband, Walter, of Lewistown, Barbara Dremann and husband, Jeffrey, of Honey Brook, and Teresa Fink and husband, Todd, of Milroy.
Walter was a 1970 graduate of Rothrock High School.
After high school, he entered the U.S. Air Force where he earned an Associate Degree and then retired after serving 20 years of service.
He worked for the DCNR Bureau of Forestry as a service forester.
Walter loved the outdoors and enjoyed going hunting, fishing and camping in the mountains. He belonged to the Blue Rock Sportsman’s Club and the NRA.
Services are private and at the convenience of the family.
