Mrs. Eva Vada Fox, 73, of Shady Spring, died Tuesday, Jan. 17, at 2:30 p. m. at a Beckley hospital following a long illness.
Born April 16, 1915, in Richmond District, she was the daughter of the late O. B. and Betsy Smith Arthur.
Mrs. Fox was a homemaker and was a member of the New Salem Baptist Church at Abraham.
Survivors include her husband, George Fox; two sons, Thurl Ray Fox of Layland and Kyle Davis Fox of Powhatan, Va.; a daughter, Norma Etta Leeber of Beckley; three brothers, Ernest Arthur of Rupert, Russell Arthur of Abraham and Henry Arthur of Baltimore, Md.; four sisters, Helen Bragg of Pluto Road, Nerma McDaniels of Quinwood, Edith garden of Beckley and Nannie Wriston of Oak Hill; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Services will be Friday at 1 p. m. at the Rose and Quesenberry Peace Chapel in Beckley with the Rev. Reno Richmond officiating. Burial will be in the New Salem Church Cemetery at Abraham.
Friends may call today from 5 to 9 p. m.
Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
