Betty Gale Steele age 75 of Clarksville, passed away on Thursday July 23, 2020 at Ahava Healthcare in Clarksville. She was born in Clarksville on July 20, 1945. She is the daughter of the late Alexander Duff and Susie Childs Duff.
Betty is a graduate of Burt High School. She devoted her life to caring for the elderly. She loved children and taking care of others. She is a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church. She is survived by her daughter Tampra Steele of Clarksville and her sons Vince Steele of Clarksville and Anthony Williams (Janie) of Clarksville. Also surviving is a brother Quinton Duff (Barbara) of Clarksville. She was blessed with six grandchildren, Deante Head, Qa-vante Steele, Auctaveon Steele, Myona Page, Dontavious Steele and Mariah Steele. Also surviving is five great grandchildren Khila Steele, A’laia Steele, Zaquarin Williams, Nilejai Steele, Braxton Steele and two new great grandchildren on the way.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Edward D. Steele and her companion in her later years, Charles Collier. Also preceding her is a brother Sharlin Duff and a sister Imogene Blair.
Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday July 28, 2020 at 2:00 PM at Resthaven Memorial Gardens with visiting in the cemetery chapel for the hour prior to services.
