MEADOW CREEK - Dora Frances Adkins, 89, of Meadow Creek, Summers County, died Feb. 9, 1997, in Summers County Appalachian Regional Hospital, Hinton, after a long illness.
She was a homemaker, a member of New Salem Baptist Church, Abraham, and a longtime resident of Summers County.
Surviving: sons, Theo and Hobert, both of Meadow Creek sisters, Pansy Plumley and Ruby Plumley, both of Beckley, Clara Pinnell of Deland, Fla. four grandchildren four great-grandchildren one great-great-grandchild.
Service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Pivont Funeral Home Chapel, Hinton, with the Rev. Hubert Williams officiating. Burial will be in New Salem Baptist Church Cemetery. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
