JoAnn was born in Gueydan, LA. to Jules Martin and Ouida (Leger) Martin on July 27, 1959. She worked as a cashier and enjoyed doing crafts, as well as going fishing. JoAnn especially loved the time she spent with her family and beautiful grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
JoAnn is survived by her mother, Ouida L. Martin of Gueydan, LA; her son, Blaine Martin of Gueydan, LA; her daughter, Emily Fontenot ( William Fruge) of Iowa, LA; her brother, Kenneth Martin (Kathy) of Gueydan, LA; her sister-in-law, Alaine Martin of Gueydan, LA; her five beautiful grandchildren, Amber, Autumn, Alexzander, Katy, & Brooklyn.
JoAnn was preceded in death by her father, Jules Martin; her brother, Wayne Martin.
Funeral services will be held at Matthews and Son Funeral Home in Gueydan on Thursday, July 23, 2020 at 7:00 PM. A gathering of family and friends will be held at Matthews & Son Funeral Home in Gueydan, LA on Thursday, July 23rd beginning at 2:30 PM until the time of her funeral service with a Rosary recited at 5:00 PM.
