Wendell Peterson, 17, Student Body Leader Succumbs to Attack of Pneumonia
Wendell Peterson, 17. editor of the Sequoia Times, Redwood City high school publication, and prominent in the high school debating team, died of pneumonia. He wan the son of Mr. and Mrs. Leon Peterson, of Redwood City and was among tho most prominent student leaders in the school. The Sequoia Times recently won national honors In New York.
The youth was an honor student and active in the Iota Zota Service club, sponsored by the Redwood City Kiwanis club. The school flag was flown at half mast today in honor of his memory, while funeral services are being arranged at Layng and Tinny, Redwood City . The service will probably be held Monday afternoon, it was stated at the chapel. Peterson leaves five brothers and a sister In addition to his parents.
