A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held at 10:30 am on Saturday, August 1, 2020 at North Side Baptist Church in Weatherford.

Margaret Elaine Snellgrove Daniel was born on April 29, 1939 in Newton, Alabama to Aubrey and Thyra Snellgrove. She spent her entire childhood in Newton. In 1955, she met a young man by the name of William Daniel who was stationed at the nearby Army base, Fort Rucker. They were married on October 27, 1956 and were blessed with five children, Douglas, Karen, Bruce, Laura, and Aelanda. William preceded Margaret in death on August 1, 2012.
Margaret was involved and active in many organizations, clubs, and historical societies including the Daughters of the American Revolution and the Twentieth Century Club. At the age of 78 she became a CASA volunteer. She was passionate about being an advocate for children in foster care.
She had many hobbies including her love of quilting. Her goal was to make a quilt for every member of her family.
A special thank you to the caring ICU nurses at Baylor Scott and White All Saints Medical Center in Fort Worth for the gentle care they provided.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, brothers, and husband.
Survivors: Sons, Douglas Daniel of Fort Worth; Bruce Daniel of Catawba, North Carolina; daughters, Karen Horn and husband, Darrell of San Antonio; Laura Horn and husband, Dennis of Oceanside, Calif., and Aelanda Counts and husband, Rondal of Azle. She is also survived by thirteen grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren and numerous family and friends.
