Military Figure, Politician. Raúl Miguel Hidalgo Madero González was a prominent Mexican military and political leader, brother of the hero of the Mexican Revolution Francisco I. Madero and the businessman and politician Gustavo A. Madero. After the death of President Francisco I. Madero, Raúl joined the forces of General Francisco Villa, with whom he participated for most of the rest of the Mexican revolution. He was governor of Nuevo León in 1915, and in later years he was governor of Coahuila from 1957 to 1963. Together with Francisco L. Urquizo he wrote the book Plan de Guadalupe, published by the government of the state of Coahuila, and in 1982 he received the Belisario Domínguez Medal, awarded by the Senate of Mexico.
