THOMPSON, Byron L.
Age 87, of Englewood, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, February 5, 2019. He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy & Mabel Thompson, by his first wife, Naomi Mae and by brothers, Dwight & Hubert. He was a 1949 graduate of Troy High School and a graduate of the Univ. of Dayton. He was a USAF veteran of the Korean Conflict and he retired from DESC after 38 years. He was an active member of Englewood United Methodist Church, serving on many different committees. He also did committee work for the West Ohio District of the United Methodist Church. Byron is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Ann; step-daughter, Krista (Jim) Witters; grandchildren, Kent (Allison) & Jillian Witters; great-grandchildren, Gage, Torrie, Cassie & Gavin; special friends, Ted & Debbie Stahl; extended family, Deanne, Chad, Brandon, Brian Allen & Carlton Shafer along with numerous other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Fri. Feb. 8 at Englewood United Methodist Church, 107 Walnut St. Englewood, OH 45322. Visitation will be held at the church Friday from 9:30 AM until service time.
