Katrina L. King, 47, of Pensacola, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, August 30, 2007.
She was a loving person to all she met. Katrina loved working with students and many others in the Pensacola area that she assisted in their research of Florida History, at her job, the University of West Florida, Dept. of Special Collections, where she was employed for 23 years. She attended Immanuel Lutheran Church where she was a member of the Bell Choir. Katrina was an avid crafter and collector of many things that interested her. She will be missed by all who loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Nancy Sprouse; maternal grandparents, Leroy and Queenie Malone, Sr.
She is survived by her brother, aunts and uncles, cousins, her "four-legged" kids, and her lifelong friend.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Friday, September 7, 2007 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 24 W Wright Street, Pensacola with Pastor Walter Steele officiating.
Interment will follow at Pensacola Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, September 6, 2007 at Pensacola Memorial Gardens Funeral Home.
