Mr. Davis was a member of Parkway Baptist Church in Jackson, MS. He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. He was a member of American Legion Post 4802, VFW Post #48. He was a master mason and member of the Sanford Lodge #443 and a 32 Degree. He served one term as Supervisor for Covington County and worked for many years as a truck driver. He also served as President of The Teamster's Union.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Davis; parents, W.A. and Annie Davis; sister, Jeanette Baucham and step-graddaughter, Chrissy Butler.
He is survived by his daughter, Beverly Rushing of Byram, MS; son, Alan (Lucille) Davis of Moselle; grandchildren, Daniel Rushing, Shane Davis and Nathaniel Rushing and great-grandchildren, Christian, Matthew, Logan, McKenzie, McKinley, Hannah and Caleb.
Visitation will be 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Monday, September 21, 2020, at Jones and Son Funeral Home.
