Ben H. Ramey, 51, formerly employed as bartender at the Elks club roof garden, was found dead in the family automobile in the garage yesterday apparently the victim of monoxide poisoning.
He was found in the front seat of his automobile, a rubber hose carrying the deadly fumes from the exhaust pipe into the car's interior.
Recently employed at a local night club, he worked late Friday night and had arranged to meet his wife at a downtown beauty parlor. When her husband failed to arrive, Mrs. Ramey returned home and discovered her husband.
Ramey is survived by his wife, Nettie E.; one sister, Mrs. Thomas Padget, and one brother, Harry, city.
