Lorraine Hansen, of Roanoke Texas passed away on Wednesday, July 15 after her battle with Alzheimers.

She will always be remembered as a loving wife, mother and granny to all that knew and loved her. She was born on August 25, 1936 in New Orleans Louisiana.

Lorraine’s greatest joy was her family. She is survived by her husband of 65 years Jerry Hansen, Four children, Lorrie Butts and husband David of Grapevine, Texas, Elizabeth Zimmerer and husband Tim of Roanoke, Texas, Eddie Hansen of Newark Texas and Brian Hansen of Glendora California.

She is survived by her sister Margaret Dijkstra of Crested Butte Colorado and Johnny Plauche of Baton Rouge Louisiana She was also loved by 9 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.

Lorraine was an artist who enjoyed painting and anything sewing. She was an award winning quilter. Among her many hobbies was gardening. She also enjoyed many years of camping and traveling with her husband, Jerry.

Graveside funeral services will be held Saturday, August 1
