Dr. Susan Ann Dunford, 69, passed away February 19, 2016 after a three year battle with lung cancer. Her intellect, determination, and empathy is survived by her loving husband John (who she married in 1973) and daughter Emily Dunford. As well as her four remaining siblings; Dennis Sovonick, Ed Sovonick, Doug Sovonick, and Patti Krebs. Her love of plants and people was clear in nearly 40 years at the University of Cincinnati, teaching Biology, Plant Biology & Plant Physiology. She got great joy from time outdoors with her family and friends, tending her gardens, teaching, and collecting fashionable earrings (usually plant oriented). Her 'tiny but tough' spirit, quick wit, and love for all she encountered will forever be in our hearts. Celebration of Life on March 5, 2016 11:30am-1:30pm held at Norman Chapel at Spring Grove Cemetery 4521 Spring Grove Ave. Cincinnati, OH 45232. May leave condolences at www.springgrove.org.
