Visitation for Janette Cubie-Thomas will be held at Basham Funeral Care (3312 Niles Street) on Wednesday, September 5, 2007 from 4:00-9:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held in the Basham Funeral Care Chapel on Thursday morning, September 6, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Union Cemetery. Janette was born July 28, 1947 in San Francisco and she passed away August 31, 2007 in Bakersfield. She is preceded in death by her mother and father, Jean and Van Cubie and her nephew, Stanley Wilkins. She is survived by her husband, Eulas Thomas Sr.; children, Gilda, Arnesta, Eulas Jr. and Kevin; sisters, Bernice, Lannie and Kathryn; brothers, Michael, Tommy and Gary as well as nine grandchildren.
