Mr. Perry Basham of Dayton, Arkansas, died Tuesday, August 28, 2007, in a Fort Smith hospital. Mr. Basham was 88 years old. He was the owner/operator of G&M Turck Line; a member of the Dayton Church of Christ; and a United States NAVY veteran.
Mr. Basham was preceded in death by his parents; and his wife: Mabel Basham.
He is survived by a daughter: Donna Brewer of Dayton, Arkansas; two sons: Doye Basham of Van Buren, Arkansas and Carrol Basham of Dayton, Arkansas; a brother: Autry Basham and his wife: Marie, of Mansfield, Arkansas; eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; nieces/nephews; great-nieces/great-nephews; and many friends.
Funeral service for Mr. Basham was held on Thursday, August 30, 2007, at the Dayton Church of Christ. He was laid to rest at Union Ridge Cemetery in the Dayton Community.
Pallbearers were: Clinton Basham, Carrol Basham, Ernie Basham, Jeff Brewer, and Mike Brewer.
