Virginia Grace Adams Campbell, of Bedford, formerly of Lakemont, Altoona, passed away at Donahoe Manor Nursing Home. She was born in Portage, the daughter of James M. and Sarah A. Hazlett Adams. She was preceded in death by eight brothers: Lawrence, George, Paul, H. Lester, R. Clair, Harold, James, and David Adams; and by four sisters: Violet Kline, Anna Vinson, Lillian Jewett, and Kathryn Adams. Virginia is survived by her daughter Anna M. Campbell of Bedford, PA, and her son James P. Campbell and wife Janet; two grandchildren: David S. Campbell and wife Amanda; Douglas J. Campbell; one sister Ruth Randall and husband Clifford; a sister-in-law, Jean Adams; and a brother-in-law, Stanley Vinson. Virginia was a graduate of Indiana Teachers College and taught in a one-room school for several years before going to Washington, DC where she worked in the fiscal division of the General Accounting Office. In 1949 she returned to the Altoona Area and was employed as a teacher in the Altoona Area School District at Adams School.
