OBITUARY

Joshua Knight Lamb, known in this city for more than forty years, died yesterday at his home in Philadelphia, at the age of 90 years

Mr. Lamb, who was born in Runcorn, England, on March 9, 1844 went to the Dominion of Canada and then moved southward to the United States in the Early sixties, going first to Philadelphia where he settled for a brief time prior to moving to this city. After coming to Chester he remained for a period of forty years and while residing here established for himself a high reputation among business men for his executive ability and judgment exercised while at the head of one of the textile establishmens. Mr. Lamb left Chester about thirty years ago and returned to Philadelphia where he was engaged in the successful machinery manufacturing business.

In 1875 Mr Lamb was married to Mary Ann Fogg and four children were born to them. Those who survive are Herman J. Lamb, of Brooklyn, NY, and Mrs. Frederick S. Tallman, of Philadelphia.
