Harrison Young, 82, of 340 Old River Road, husband of Iva Esther Lee Davis Young, died Thursday, Jan. 6, 2005, at Greenville Memorial Hospital.
Born in Anderson County, he was a son of the late James Earnest and Alice Rodgers Young. He was retired from JP Stevens Old Piedmont Plant, and was former owner/operator of Harrison Young's TV and Satellite Repair. He was a member of West Pelzer Baptist Church, where he served as a Senior deacon. Mr. Young was also a World War II U.S. Marine veteran.
Surviving are his wife of the home; a son, Ernest Nathan Young of the home; a daughter, Vickie Arrowwood of West Pelzer; four sisters, Nell Young and Grace Rainey, both of Anderson, Louise Bannister of Atlanta, Betty Ford of Cheddar; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by a son, Clyde Harrison "Buddy" Young.
Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, conducted by the Rev. Randy Smith.
The family members are at the home, and will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Saturday at Gray Mortuary, Pelzer.
